NaturalVision Evolved – FiveM Install Guide
Introduction
NaturalVision Evolved (NVE) is a work-in-progress visual overhaul mod that is currently in the early access stage. Numerous changes were made to the environmental weathers, lighting system, ambient colors, tonemapping, world textures, building models, props, vegetation and much more in order to blur the line between fantasy and reality.
The goal was to try and make GTAV look visually similar to Southern California in real life. In order to achieve this, research on the Los Angeles (Los Santos) and Salton Sea (Sandy Shores) regions was conducted using hundreds of photos and hours upon hours of video footage. All of this was necessary in an attempt to produce the most realistic visual experience currently possible with GTAV’s limited game engine.
There are plenty of optional add-ons included with NVE, such as a roads overhaul pack, custom vehicles, motion blur enhancer, LSPDFR related enhancements, seasonal content packs and much more. This gives users the ability to customize the game to their liking.
Please make sure to check everything out so that you can enjoy NVE as much as possible.

This package will let you use NVE on FiveM and enhance your multiplayer experience.
Please make sure your FiveM “mods” folder does not contain any other graphical mods.
Delete any old graphical mods from FiveM before proceeding with this install.

• Added a brand new Sandstorm weather with custom weather effects in the desert. Players can swap to the new Sandstorm weather in Single Player by using the NVE weather menu. Sandstorm effects will be dynamically implemented and improved in future updates • Added a new add-on for the FiveM package labeled 'Sandstorm Weather Effects' which gives players the option to add a sandstorm to the Grand Senora Desert or to the entire map. • Improved lighting and reflections during sunrise (6:00) and sunset (20:00) in all Sunny weathers • Updated the weather patch and re-enabled Neutral and Snowlight weathers in the Single Player package • Added a custom dirt system for player clothing in the Single Player package. Dirt will slowly accumulate on clothing when walking through mud or marsh surfaces. It will also appear if the player damages themselves on any sand, mud, marsh, dirt surface. Washes off very quickly in water or disappears on its own after 5 minutes. Works with all character models. Additionally updated the dirt texture for better quality and visibility • Fixed all street light related issues with the NVE.asi plugin within the FiveM package. Now distant light sprites change color properly, as well as the glow around light bulbs. • Added ReShade to each package. Comes with various shaders for sharpening. There is no FPS loss when using ReShade • Added new bloom and rain lens shaders for the Single Player and FiveM packages. Rain lens shader now reacts to street light colors and properly detects roofs, tunnels and interiors via the engine where it won't apply the effect. More shaders will be added back in the near future • Added the ability to modify street light colors, headlight intensity, ambient tones and fog haze colors via ReShade in real-time, along with the ability to create and save custom presets using these techniques. You must be using the NVE.asi plugin in order for this to work. Each light has been completely reworked and modified by hand in order to offer a more realistic and complete feel that brings the city to life during the night. Each street light and wall light now has an increased specular range in order to make vehicle and pavement reflections look better during night time. Various neighborhoods, tunnels, bridges, underpasses, parking lots and other areas were fine-tuned and are now lit up properly. Getting Ready
Before we begin, make sure your game folder is clean.
If you are using a previous version of NaturalVision then please uninstall it from your FiveM ‘mods’ folder.
Install Instructions
Step 1:
Open the “Main Package” folder located within the “NVE – FiveM Package” folder.
Copy the “mods” and “plugins” folders from inside.
Step 2:
Go to your “FiveM Application Data” folder.
The default location is “C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\FiveM\FiveM Application Data“
To go there, you can hold the “Windows Key + R” buttons on your keyboard to bring up the Run menu
Then type %localappdata% and press OK
Step 3:
Paste the “mods” and “plugins” folders you copied earlier. Replace all files if necessary.
Step 4:
Go back to the “NVE – FiveM Package” folder and click the “Optional Add-Ons” folder.
If you want to install something from the “Optional Add-Ons” folder then just copy and paste the .rpf file(s) to the FiveM “mods” folder within the “FiveM Application Data” folder.
Step 5:
This step is optional. Click on the folder labeled “ReShade Shaders” and open it.
Copy all of the files and folders from inside and paste them into your FiveM Application Data ‘plugins‘ folder.
The location of your FiveM folder depends on how you installed it in the first place. Did you run FiveM.exe in an empty folder? If so, that’s where FiveM is installed.
Otherwise, FiveM installs in your ‘App Data’ folder. Use the instructions below to find it:
1. Press WinKey+R on your keyboard
2. Type %localappdata%/FiveM in the dialog that opens
3. Hit Enter on your keyboard
IMPORTANT: In order to use ReShade on FiveM, you must go to your "FiveM Application Data" folder and open up CitizenFX.ini. Then watch this video in order to see what you should do next: https://youtu.be/4XMllGudiaY?t=326 Make sure you follow the same steps as the video above. Add the line with your ID to CitizenFX.ini as per the video instructions. Lastly, launch FiveM and go to your FiveM settings tab from the FiveM menu. Click the 'Game' tab and make sure "Update channel" is set to 'Latest (Unstable)'. Then you should be able to use ReShade on FiveM.

Before starting your game, please read below for additional information.
Settings Tips
You must have your in-game GTAV PostFX and Particles Quality settings on "Very High" or "Ultra" in order for all of the shaders and effects included in this package to work properly.
You must have your in-game GTAV Shader Quality settings on "Very High" in order for all the features to work properly.
You must have DirectX set to "DirectX 11" under the "Graphics" settings tab.
ReShade Tips
You can open the ReShade menu by pressing the 'INSERT' key on your keyboard and going to the 'NVE' tab.
You must select "Enable shader modifications" under the Shader game menu in order to begin tweaking effects. All modifications are automatically saved.
Under the "Vehicle" tab, you can adjust the emissive intensity of all vehicle lights and sirens, as well as adjust vehicle headlight intensity.
You can click on the dropdown "Preset" menu and create a new preset which will automatically save your configuration.
Display Brightness Tips
It is very important for you to set the correct brightness level. Otherwise you won't see certain details properly. Try to keep your GTAV display brightness at 50% for the best possible experience. You can copy my settings below. Keep in mind they're based on my own monitor's brightness settings. To get the best possible results, I suggest reading this guide and calibrating your monitor's display settings. Alternatively, you can take all the tests on the top of
and calibrate your monitor as you go along.

Optional Add-Ons
There are several optional add-ons within the NaturalVision Evolved folder.
Here is a brief overview of what each add-on does.
Enhanced Motion Blur
This add-on will improve the motion blur quality when driving a vehicle or running around on-foot. Only works in third-person mode. Comes in three packages. In order for this to work properly, you must have "Post FX" set to Ultra in your GTAV settings.
Brighter Emergency Lights (LSPDFR)
This add-on will increase the intensity of all emergency lights. Additionally, it will remove the excessive glow on taxi adverts and bus/metro LED signs for a more enjoyable experience. By installing this add-on, you may or may not experience brighter dashboard lighting on modded vehicles.
Animated Gas Stations and ATMs
This add-on will overhaul various gas stations around San Andreas by adding colorful neons and animated lights. It will also add an animated screen to all ATM machines around the map.
Parallax Roads and Pavement Overhaul
This add-on will install new high-quality parallax roads, sidewalks and other pavement to various parts of the map.
Volumetric Clouds (Beta)
This add-on will bring volumetric clouds to the sky. Currently works in 'Cloudy' weather. Requires our 'ReShade Shaders' in order to work.
High-Quality Reflections (Heavy)
This add-on will improve glass and vehicle reflections to render all SLODs and nearby LODs properly, as well as increasing the range and doubling the reflection render resolution for a clearer image. You must have your in-game "Reflection Quality" on 'Ultra' for this add-on to work properly. Please note that 'High-Quality Reflections' will have a noticeable impact on performance.
Extra Vegetation (Heavy)
This add-on will install hedges, bushes, flowers and other types of additional vegetation. Please note that 'Extra Vegetation' will have a noticeable impact on performance.
Weather Override (Foggy_Deep and Hurricane)
This add-on will replace 'Foggy' weather with the 'Foggy_Deep' weather and replace 'Thunder' weather with 'Hurricane' weather.
Weapons Overhaul Pack
This add-on will overhaul muzzle and firing effects on each weapon to appear more realistic.
Hide Weapon Reticle and Damage Overlay
This add-on will remove the weapon reticle and damage indicator overlay from the in-game HUD menu. It will not remove the Sniper or Homing Launcher reticles. Works in third-person and first-person mode.
Night Vision Swap
This add-on will replace the night vision effect with either green or white phosphor illumination.
More Car Engine Smoke
This add-on will increase smoke particles and visibility when the engine overheats in vehicles.
Rolling Coal Effect
This add-on will apply a rolling coal effect to various heavy duty trucks, as well as the Guardian vehicle.
Darker Nights
This add-on will make night time extremely dark. Currently it only supports the following weathers: ExtraSunny, Clear, Neutral, Smog, Foggy, Cloudy, Overcast, Rain & Thunder.
Vanilla Unicorn Interior Overhaul
This add-on will overhaul the Vanilla Unicorn strip club with new high-resolution parallaxed textures, neon lights and an improved atmosphere.
Mission Row Police Department Overhaul
This add-on will overhaul the interior and exterior of the Mission Row Police Department with new high-resolution parallaxed textures.
Realistic License Plates
This add-on will replace the in-game license plates with realistic California plates.
Northern Lights in Blaine County
This add-on will display the Aurora Borealis / Northern Lights in the Blaine County countryside sky. You must have NVE installed in order for this add-on to work.
Sandstorm Weather Effects
This add-on comes with options to add a sandstorm to the Grand Senora Desert or to the entire map. Includes the new Sandstorm weather. You must have NVE installed in order for this add-on to work. Please note that 'Sandstorm Weather Effects' will have a noticeable impact on performance.
NVE 2020 Weather Filter
This add-on will modify Extrasunny, Clear and Cloudy weathers to look like the 2020 version of NVE with warmer colors and heavy vignetting.
Reduce Snowflakes Intensity
This add-on will reduce the intensity of snowflake particles in Snow, Snowlight and Xmas weathers.
Autumn Season Pack
This add-on will modify various vegetation around the map to suit the Fall season.
Halloween Content Pack
This add-on will place various Halloween themed content around the map. Things will get spooky. Be sure to check out the lighthouse at night...
Christmas Content Pack
This add-on will place various Christmas / Winter themed content around the map. Rumor has it the Alamo Sea is frozen too...
Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech Vehicle
This add-on will let you install the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech vehicle to your FiveM server. This vehicle was converted by vans123 exclusively for NVE in high quality. The vehicle spawn name is "quadravtech" without quotation marks. You can spawn it by using a trainer of your choice.
2022 Toyota GR Supra Vehicle
This add-on will let you install the 2022 Toyota GR Supra vehicle to your FiveM server. This vehicle was converted by vans123 exclusively for NVE in high quality and then edited by various members from the NVE team. The vehicle spawn name is "supragr21" without quotation marks. You can spawn it by using a trainer of your choice.
