There are two ways to create a livery for FiveM. The first is to use the templates provided by FiveM, and the second is to use a graphics program of your choice.

Both methods involve creating an image in the correct dimensions for FiveM liveries (1280×720), then saving it as a .jpg or .png file that meets the following guidelines:

• RGB color space
• 8-bit per channel (256 colors)

The software

There are quite a few image editing software options available. GIMP is free and available for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. Paint.net is also free and has a decent selection of tools that you can use to create liveries (though they’re not as extensive as some other options). You’ll need to make sure your computer has at least one of these programs installed if you want to follow along with this guide!
